As the name suggests, it is an association of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and represents the plurality of graduate psychologists and psychological psychotherapists. Since 2001 it is an official member of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Association (EFPA).
SLP is a professional organization of working psychologists. For psychology students it is quiet important to be in touch with professionals: if one would like to do an internship, if one need practical information….But also for professionals it is important to be in touch with psychology students, because they will be the working partners of the future. For this reason, ALEP regularly stays in contact with SLP. One member of ALEP is a supplementary member in the SLP. In 2008 Laurence Duhr will be the liaison officer for ALEP.
SLP and ALEP regularly work together. One example are the public conferences which will be held every second year. Another example is the “Soirée d’Information sur la Psychologie”; in cooperation with SLP organizes ALEP an information session on the profession of psychology.
